As a
solo-practitioner, Guillermo 'Wil'
Senmartin focuses primarily on U.S.
Immigration and Nationality Law with
experience in a wide variety of
sub-fields such as Naturalization, Business Visas,
Lawful Permanent Residency through
family or employment, Asylum and
other forms of relief from deportation.
Mr.
Senmartin also works on corporate
transactional matters such as
contract drafting, review and
negotiation.
A native of
South Florida, Mr. Senmartin
attended Miami-Dade College where he
earned an Associate in Arts in
English Literature. He then
proceeded to attend Nova
Southeastern University earning a
Bachelors of Science in Legal
Studies.
He
continued his studies at Florida
International University earning a
Bachelors of Arts in International
Relations and at St. Thomas
University School of Law earning the
degree of Juris Doctor.
Mr. Senmartin
is a member of the Florida Bar and
is admitted to practice before the
Federal District Courts of both the
Southern and Northern Districts of
Florida.
He has
also served as
Of Counsel to various small and medium sized law firms in the area
of Immigration and Naturalization
Law.
Mr.
Senmartin has had memberships in The
American Bar Association, The
American Immigration Lawyers
Association, The Cuban American Bar
Association, and Phi Alpha Delta.
Equally as
active in the community, Mr.
Senmartin began advocating for
children as a Guardian Ad Litem
since before his time in law school
and then by joining Lawyers For
Children America upon admittance to
the Florida Bar.
Mr.
Senmartin was recently honored for
his work with children by being
awarded the 2008 John Edward Smith
Outstanding Advocate Award.
Additionally,
Mr. Senmartin is an active member of
the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana
where he received the 2007 Rookie of
the Year award and was also honored
with an appointment as Chairman of
the 2007 Children's Summer Camp
which provides a free summer camp to
children of low-income families.
He was
also appointed as Chairman of the
2008 Carnaval Miami Official Poster
Event which helps to fund some of
the various club projects.
Mr.
Senmartin was then honored again by
being reappointed to both Chairman
positions for a 2nd year,
2008-2009.
Mr. Senmartin is
also certified as a Circuit Court
Mediator and is fluent in English and Spanish.
